Human beings struggle to put a value on what cannot be
bought. In modern society this happens more than ever.
The paradox lies in the fact that what is most necessary for our survival is given to us for free, without us having to make any effort.
I am of course talking about the air we breathe and the oxygen contained within it.
As is well known, we can survive without eating for a few weeks, a few days without drinking, just a few minutes without breathing.
If human beings have had to continually ingest food and water, they have only had to breathe for oxygen.
We know that this is made possible to a large extent by phytoplankton in the seas and plants on earth, among which stand out silent superheroes, the trees.
These, like the superheroes, perform ‘a selfless, pro-social mission’, and therefore, in my opinion, deserve a nice cape too.
The pictures are of the prototype I made in small scale, the final work should be much larger.
